I’m doing a lighting exercise. It will last 30 seconds whilst reading some of Mobi Dick. I’m improvising a lighthouse effect i.e. the intermittent sweep of the light every 5 seconds or so. I’ve downloaded both a sea sound effect and a fog horn sound effect just to add a maritime atmosphere to it. I’ve created the intro using one of the background presets in Adobe After Effects (Foggy) and I’ve used one of the animation presets on the text.
HOW TO CREATE AN INTRO IN ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS.
To create an intro go into Adobe After Effects and create a new Composition. Then create a new text layer and then create a sold layer. Use the background and animation presets there. When you are happy with what you have done render it to the desktop or a folder of your choice.
Then open up Adobe Premier Pro, import it and place it on the timeline where you want it.
Here is the short:
I’ve improvised the sweep of the lighthouse beam by using simply a torch and have added the ‘foghorn’ and the ‘sea on the shore’ effects. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate book to be reading in the scene than Mobi Dick 🙂 A classic!
